The Process:
- Referral form: Fill out a referral form without the client’s information and send it to the receiving agent. The agent will sign the form and send it back to you. You can then fill in the client’s information and send the form back to the agent.
- Referral fee: Discuss and finalize the referral fee amount before connecting the client with the agent. You can send a referral fee agreement for signature.
- Consent: Obtain valid consent from the referral to share their information.
- Timing: If the referral is from your website or a third party service, submit it as soon as you receive it.
- Communication: Use social media to ask for and send referrals.
- Who to ask: Ask people who already like you, then those who have referred you in the past, and then those who came to you as a referral.
- Thank you note: Express gratitude, assure the referral is in good hands, and offer a token of appreciation.
